RS PRO Panel Mount XLR Connector, Female, 3 Way, Silver Plating

An innovative and exciting range of multipole audio/video connectors manufactured to exacting standards for professional use. The RS 'AXR'/'XLR' series compatible connectors are precision made with die-cast bodies and silver-plated, solid brass turned contacts. The range includes panel sockets and plugs and cable mounting sockets and plugs in 3, 4 and 5 contact versions. Two types of finish are available, nickel or black chrome.
Designed for rugged use in demanding environments, a number of unique features make this range stand out from other similar quality connectors. One of the most notable of these features is the colour coding system. A selection of easy-to-fit and remove coloured coding collars simply clip on the cable mounting plug or socket. Similarly, there is a selection of push-in coloured buttons for the panel mounted versions. This makes identification of cables very easy when connecting or disconnecting equipment and helps prevent mismatching. Another benefit of these connectors is the 'squeeze' release clip, which enables plugs and sockets to be unplugged quickly by means of a simple push-down device. Wiring and assembly are also simple operations and a collet arrangement can accommodate cable diameters ranging from 2·8mm to 8·0mm to provide an effective cable grip.
