Under no circumstances should both ends of the fixing bolt simultaneously contact the metal chassis or framework as this would create a potentially dangerous 'shorted-turn'.

UL506, EN61558

This toroidal transformer from RS PRO enables you to transfer power between two parts of an electrical circuit at a reduced voltage. The transformer converts alternating current (AC) to increased or reduced voltages without affecting the power level.

Being smaller and more lightweight than stacked lamination type transformers, this model is extremely efficient to run. Its doughnut-shaped construction means shorter coils, thereby reducing winding losses. In addition to being quieter than other models, it has an extremely low level of radiated magnetic field, meaning it emits less electromagnetic interference than standard transformers. Note that mounting hardware is not supplied with this product.

This toroidal transformer conforms with UL 506 and EN 61558 safety standards for transformers. For safety reasons, both ends of the fixing bolt must never make simultaneous contact with the metal chassis or framework, as this would create a potentially dangerous 'shorted-turn'.
