Phosphated Self Tapping Screw

The RS Pro Self tapping screws are generally used to attach a component to a surface, used in a multitude of manufacturing industries including automotive and white goods as examples. Self tapping screws, as the name implies, are screws capable of tapping that is cutting their own thread into pre drilled or punched holes in a wide range of metals and plastics. The cross recess pozi produces a great drive, enabling the screw to be inserted quickly. The flange head design has an exaggerated profile, which helps spread the tightening forces applied over an even and increased area, reducing the risk of surface stress and damage. These screws are case hardened, giving them the necessary strength to tap the thread into the surface.
