The Infineon PSU comprises a front-end AC-DC bridgeless totem-pole PFC converter followed by a back end DC to DC isolated half bridge LLC converter. The front end converter provides power factor correction and control of the total harmonic distortion. The LLC converter provides safety isolation and a tightly regulated output voltage at 12 VDC.
