ABB 1SDA06 Series Molded Case Circuit Breaker, 250A Current Rating, 85kA Breaking Capacity - 1SDA068485R1 XT4S 250 Ekip LSI 250A FF

This moulded case circuit breaker provides three-pole circuit protection for industrial electrical systems, designed to interrupt fault currents and control distribution in medium-voltage installations. It is intended for fixed mounting and integrates a solid-state tripping mechanism with a manual reset actuator to manage overloads and short circuits in commercial and industrial switchgear.

Features and Benefits:

• 250A current rating for higher continuous load capability • 85kA breaking capacity for Rapid fault interruption • Rated to operate at 690V AC for elevated-voltage systems • Front terminals enabling easy access during installation • Solid-state tripping delivering precise protection response • Fixed-mount design for secure panel integration

Applications

• Suitable for protection of motor feeders in manufacture plants • Ideal for distribution panels in automation control rooms • Used with power distribution racks in industrial facilities • Can be used for load segregation in electrical switchboards

What mounting arrangement is required for installation?

It must be secured as a fixed-mount device within a panel or enclosure using the panel cut-out and mounting provisions designed for fixed MCCBs.

How is the device reset after a trip?

A manual lever-style actuator is used to reset the mechanism once fault conditions have been cleared and the tripping circuitry has been verified.

Which standards relate to its general suitability for industrial use?

The unit conforms to recognised international electrical standards and directives ensuring compatibility with industry practices.

How many poles does the breaker provide and what does that mean electrically?

It offers three poles, allowing simultaneous interruption of all three phases in a three-phase supply to protect balanced or unbalanced loads.
