Eaton FAZ Series MCBs
Eaton FAZ- miniature circuit breakers are Current limiting design provides fast short-circuit interruption that reduces the let-through energy that can damage the circuit, Trip-free design. Breaker cannot be defeated by holding the handle in the ON position
Features and Benefits
Thermal-magnetic overcurrent protection
Power to the circuit breakers can be fed from the line or load side
Clear indication of contact position via front switch toggle
Easy installation on DIN rail. Module width of only 17.5 mm (per pole)
Six levels of short-circuit protection, categorized by B, C, D, K, S and Z curves
Small modular width of the device and accessories saves space in the panel or equipment, which can lead to cost savings
Dual rated for IEC 60947-2 standard
Module widths: 1 Pole 17.5mm, 2 pole 35mm and 3 pole 52.5mm

Q: What is the differences in the Tripping Curves B, C, D and S?
A: Curve B: Tripping: 3 to 5 times the rated current.
Applications: protection of generators, persons, very long cables
Curve C: Tripping: 5 to 10 times the rated current
Applications: protection of circuits and general applications
Curve D: Tripping: 10 to 14 times the rated current
Curve S Tripping 13 to 17 times the rated current
Suitable for applications where high levels of inrush current are expected. Instantaneous trip is 13–17X rating of device (In). The high magnetic trip point prevents nuisance tripping in high inductive applications such as motors, transformers and power supplies
Standards
IEC 898; BS/EN60-898; EN50 022/DIN46277-3 (BS5584).

Eaton Miniature Circuit Breaker, 3A, 240V AC / 48V DC - FAZ Series - 278551 FAZ-C3/1
Swiftly detect and isolate electrical faults in your circuit with this single-pole MCB (miniature circuit breaker) from Eaton. It's designed with thermal and electromagnetic release functions to break a circuit quickly when there are dangerous short-circuits and high currents. Thanks to its type C characteristic, it trips instantly when flow-through current reaches between 5 and 10 times its 3A rating. It's easy to see when the device has been triggered as the front status indicator turns from green to red.
• DIN rail clip makes it easy to mount on standard systems
• Toggle switch can't be held in the 'on' position to override a fault, preventing unsafe use of circuits
• Recessed terminals are touchproof for added safety
• Narrow unit width of 17.5mm makes it easy to fit in tight spaces on panels

How do I connect this MCB?
This MCB uses screw terminals to make a straightforward and secure connection to your electrical circuit. The terminal points are clearly labelled for easy wiring, and the screws are captive so they can't be lost during installation.
