To resist crosstalk and electromagnetic interference (EMI), while delivering noiseless transmission, it has a patented Beldfoil shield over two conductors that are twisted around each other. A PVC jacket is durable and provides resistance to impact and abrasion, so the cable is suitable for use in harsh environments. With a 25lbs maximum recommended tension, it has robust mechanical strength and can withstand a high degree of strain.
