Use this extra-coarse abrasive disc from 3M to prep, clean or strip metal surfaces. The industrial-grade sanding disc is made from silicon carbide, which is sharp and long-lasting, so it's suitable to use on rough surfaces. An open-web material design provides consistently smooth cutting over the disc's lifespan and resists loading, so there's less risk of it becoming clogged. The component is easy to attach or remove with a quick twist-on or twist-off motion, which makes it simple to switch between different sanding grades.

The unique construction of the Scotch-Brite™ disc is made up of non-woven fibres and silicon carbide abrasive making it tough and durable. The extra course (XCS) works to remove unwanted corrosion and blemishes from a variety of materials. It combines strands, resin and abrasive to form a thick open web.

The 3M Roloc range of sanding discs is colour-coded according to the coarseness of the grain. Black is the roughest grain and green is the finest. This lets you quickly identify which disc you need when you're moving from cleaning to polishing jobs.
