What are vacuum regulators used for?
Pneumatic air preparation is crucial to maintaining the proper working order of pressure control systems.
A vacuum regulator is therefore used to regulate airflow and maintain a constant output pressure by giving the operator the ability to control the volume of air in the system. Some regulators are one directional and others multi-directional, depending on the pressure range needed for the hydraulic system to work correctly.
Types of vacuum regulators
- Single-sided connection and electro (electronic) vacuum regulators are the most commonly used.
- Single-sided connection regulators get placed between the vacuum pump and suction cup to control vacuum line pressure.
- Electro (electronic) vacuum regulators offer step-less control of air pressure correlative to an electrical signal, to secure an output pressure that is proportional to the input signal.
