RS Pro Lightning to USB Cable
From RS PRO a reliable, high-quality USB 2.0 Lightning cable designed for connecting iPhones, iPads and iPods to a host computer. This Lightning cable can also be plugged into a USB charger. The Lightning cable consists of an 8 pin Lightning connector on one end that is plugged into your phone or tablet and a Type A (male) USB connector the other which is plugged into the computer or charger.
What is a Lightning Connector?
A Lightning connector is a compact 8 pin plug with pins on either side of it which are twinned and directly connected to one another. This benefits of this feature are that the connector can be inserted either way up into the port of your mobile device and still function normally.
What is a USB Type A Connector?
The USB connector type is determined by its shape. A Type A connector is the most common type with a flat and rectangular shape. This is commonly found on computer peripherals such as mice, keyboards and memory sticks. Applications
This USB Lightning cable is used for data transfer or as a charger with mobile devices that have a Lightning connector port. These include iPhones (series 5 onwards), iPads, iPad Air, iPad Mini, iPad Pro, iPod Nano and iPod Touch.
