MikroElektronika 8 Click DC Motor Drive
The MikroElektronika is an 8-click DC motor driver. This motor driver can drive DC motors with brushes, providing them with a significant amount of current and voltage up to 40V. The click has one control, which uses the PWM signal from the host MCU. This DC motor 8 click relies on the MIC4605, 85V half-bridge MOSFET driver with adaptive dead time and shoot-through protection, from Microchip. To regulate the speed of the motor rotation, it uses the half-bridge topology. The advance dead time circuitry that monitors the output stage, provides maximum switching efficiency and features an advanced technique to avoid the shoot-through current.
Features and Benefits
• Complete isolation of the output stage
• Good switching efficiency
• Input voltage is 3.3V or 5V
• Intelligent shoot-through protection mechanisms
• Interface: GPIO and PWM
• Low overall power consumption
• Output current is 1A
Applications
• Battery operated handheld tools
• Fans
Certifications
• ANSI/ESD S20.20:2014
• BS EN 61340-5-1:2007
