RS Components makes networked lighting attractive and affordable with Osram LIGHTIFY

Easy to install and fun to use for convenience, security and energy savings

RS Components (RS), the trading brand of Electrocomponents plc (LSE:ECM), the global distributor for engineers, is now stocking Osram LIGHTIFY plug-and-play wireless lighting, which comprises a range of attractive LED light sources, the LIGHTIFY Gateway, and LIGHTIFY mobile app.

Together, the LIGHTIFY Gateway and LED energy-saving lamps allow fast and easy networking of domestic or commercial lighting when connected to an ordinary wireless router. The mobile app provides a convenient and versatile tool for grouping and controlling the lights using Wi-Fi. Users can set dimming levels, match unique and standard colours from the 16 million colour selector, set colour temperature, program sequences and effects, or control lights via the Internet.

RS has the full Osram LIGHTIFY range in stock for immediate dispatch, including a wide range of energy efficient LIGHTIFY lamps and luminaires such as classic white lamps, PAR lights, downlights, flexible light strips and garden lights. The LIGHTIFY Plug, also available, allows adding conventional lamps to a LIGHTIFY network.

LIGHTIFY supports the ZigBee standard and all products in the portfolio are ZigBee Light Link-certified, meaning that products can be combined with products from other manufacturers, to make it future proof and comprehensively connectable.

The mobile app can be downloaded free of charge from the LIGHTIFY website, Apple Appstore, or Google Play.
