RS Components and Allied Electronics Named Global Distributor of the Year by Crydom

RS Components (RS) and Allied Electronics (Allied), the trading brands of Electrocomponents plc (LSE:ECM), the world’s largest high service distributor of electronics and maintenance products, has been named Global Distributor of the Year by Crydom, a manufacturer of solid state relays and controls.
RS and Allied were chosen for the award due to their global topline sales at POS (point of sale) and POP (point of purchase). This prestigious award illustrates outstanding support in several key areas, including: best-in-class relationships/collaboration in Europe, Asia and North America; new product introduction; marketing and web site excellence; customer account expansion; local market engagement; and inventory positioning.

Every year Crydom recognises its distributors and representatives for their performance. Usually these awards are given independently by region, however for 2010 the winner in overall global figures were RS and Allied making the award global. The award was presented to the RS Europe team at Crydom’s distributor conference (tbc) in Barcelona.
